1. Introduction
1.1 These Terms & Conditions (“T&Cs”) outline the agreement between TBSC Corp Ltd trading as Peace+Riot (referred to as “we”, “us”, “our” or “the Agency”) and you (“you”, “your” or “the Childminder”) for the purpose of introducing you to families seeking childcare services.
1.2 By applying to register with Peace+Riot, you confirm that you accept these T&Cs as a binding agreement between you and the Agency.
2. Definitions
Basic DBS: A current Disclosure and Barring Service certificate showing your criminal record (if any).
Booking: A scheduled and confirmed arrangement for you to provide childcare services to an Employer.
Booking Fee: The agreed amount payable by the Employer to you, based on our published Hourly Rates.
Business Hours: 7:00am–8:00pm (Mon–Fri); 9:00am–5:00pm (weekends and UK public holidays).
Childminder / You: A self-employed childcare professional registered with Peace+Riot.
Childminder Services: Babysitting or nannying services provided by you through our Introductions.
Content: All visual and written material on our Site or App.
Engagement: The act of you starting and continuing childcare work with an Employer.
Employer: A parent or guardian who uses our Agency to find childcare support.
Hourly Rates: The rates advertised on our Site or App for your services.
Introduction: Connecting you with an Employer, including sharing your CV or profile.
Relevant Personal Data: Information about your background required for compliance and insurance purposes.

3. Registration
3.1 To register as a Childminder, you must complete our application form via the Site or App before we conduct an interview or list you as available.
3.2 You must provide a valid Basic DBS certificate. We will not submit your profile to Employers until this is received. You are responsible for renewing it when it expires.
3.3 Additional certifications (e.g. first aid) must be submitted with visible expiry dates. Expired certificates will be removed from your CV.
3.4 Interviews or trials may be required as part of our onboarding process. Trials are paid at the agreed Hourly Rate.
3.5 You agree that we may use and share the necessary information you provide to facilitate Introductions.
3.6 You are self-employed. We are not your employer and are not responsible for your conduct or obligations.
3.7 You confirm that:
All information you provide is accurate and up-to-date.
You have no criminal convictions (except minor driving offences).
4. Bookings
4.1 We will match you with suitable Employers. If a match is found, we will confirm the Booking with both parties.
4.2 If you need to cancel, please notify us (and the Employer) via the Site, App, phone or email with at least 24 hours’ notice wherever possible.
4.3 Employer cancellations:
More than 24 hours’ notice: 25% of the Booking Fee payable.
Less than 24 hours’ notice: 100% of the Booking Fee payable.
4.4 We may suspend further Bookings until outstanding fees are paid.
4.5 All Bookings—including repeat engagements—must be arranged via the Agency.
5. Working Conditions & Safety
5.1 Employers agree to:
Provide a clean, safe, and respectful environment.
Avoid scheduling work if a child is unwell or infectious.
Comply with all relevant UK laws and health guidelines.
5.2 Employers are liable for any harm caused by unsafe environments.
5.3 Disputes must be resolved between you and the Employer. The Agency does not mediate disputes.
5.4 For work finishing after 10:00pm, Employers must cover your taxi or Uber fare home (up to £15, unless otherwise agreed in writing).
6. Your Responsibilities
6.1 Be punctual. Notify us and the Employer immediately if running late.
6.2 Do not attend work if you are unwell. Inform us and the Employer promptly.
6.3 Act with professionalism at all times. Your responsibilities include:
Keeping children safe and engaged.
Following routines and instructions.
Minimising screen time unless otherwise agreed.
6.4 Dress appropriately and refer to our Site/App for further guidance.
6.5 Do not:
Use drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicants while working.
Bring guests to your Engagement.
Leave children unattended.
6.6 Leave the home as you found it and only use the Employer’s devices in emergencies or with permission.
6.7 Do not share or collect personal contact details without our written approval.
6.8 Report any direct contact from Employers (past or current) to us immediately.
6.9 All Bookings must go through the Agency. Private arrangements are not permitted.
7. Relationship Status
7.1 We are an introductory agency. You are not employed by Peace+Riot.
7.2 You are responsible for:
Declaring your income and paying your own tax.
Your own travel costs.
Your own insurance (unless otherwise covered by law).
We are not responsible for accidents, injuries or losses unless caused by our negligence.
8. Payment
8.1 Booking Fees are paid by the Employer to the Agency at the time of Booking.
8.2 We transfer your fees to you within 7 days of the completed Booking.
8.3 You will receive a summary via the Site or App.
8.4 Additional reimbursable costs may include:
Travel with the child (public transport/taxi).
Return taxi fare after 10:00pm (up to £15).
Snacks for the child (up to £3 per child, with receipts).
9. Termination
9.1 We may end your registration at any time, particularly if we believe you’ve breached these T&Cs or made private arrangements with our clients.
9.2 If terminated, your access to our Site, App, and services will be revoked.
9.3 We may block or restrict access without notice.
10. Liability
10.1 You agree to indemnify us for any losses or legal costs arising from:
Breaching these T&Cs or the law.
Misusing our Site or App.
Sharing inaccurate or outdated information.
Infringing intellectual property rights.
11. Equality & Diversity

12. Site & App Usage
12.1 You are granted a limited licence to use our Site/App in line with these T&Cs.
12.2 You are not licensed to use our trademarks without written consent.
12.3 Content is protected by copyright and cannot be copied, sold or reused without permission.
12.4 We are not responsible for third-party sites or content linked from our platforms.
13. Privacy & Confidentiality

13.2 Your data is confidential. We will only share it as required by law or to facilitate Introductions.
13.3 If you share photos or videos of children with Employers, you are solely responsible for those actions.
14. Other Information
14.1 We are not liable for service interruptions caused by events beyond our control.
14.2 You may not transfer these T&Cs without our consent.
14.3 If part of these T&Cs is unenforceable, the rest remains valid.
14.4 We may update these T&Cs at any time, but changes won’t affect already confirmed Bookings.
